Thomas R. Williams, EA

 

As Managing Partner and co-founder of Advisant Financial, Tom specializes in strategic tax planning, tax preparation, IRS representation, and employer equity planning for his clients. His focus revolves around client success, ensuring that each client is comfortable with our approach and is confident in their understanding of their individual and business tax circumstances. He is an Enrolled Agent through the Internal Revenue Service and heads our Denver office.

 

Tom brings many years of individual tax knowledge, strategic tax planning implementation, small business consulting, and employer equity advisory experience to our team.  Finding his passion for helping others, he also previously volunteered his time to help taxpayers file through the IRS certified VITA program (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance).

 

Tom graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting.

Timothy V. Whalen, EA

 

As Managing Partner and co-founder of Advisant Financial, Tim specializes in tax preparation, IRS audit representation, payroll tax, sales tax, and general tax planning for his clients. He is an Enrolled Agent through the Internal Revenue Service.

 

Prior to Advisant Financial, Tim provided tax consulting services for many small businesses in Chicago, contributing his knowledge and expertise in tax preparation and tax planning.  He also spent several years at BMO Capital Markets where he facilitated trades for corporate, municipal, and treasury bonds.

 

Tim graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance.
